1. Dangote Flour Mills

The company is owned by one of Africa’s richest men, Aliko Dangote. It is into the business of flour milling, processing and marketing of branded flour.

They manufacture products like bread flour, confectionary flour, semolina and wheat offal. The Ilorin branch started operations in 2005. It has the capacity to produce 1000 MT per day.

Global Soap & Detergent Industries Limited

This is one of the companies under Doyin Group of Companies. It is located along Asa Dam road in Ilorin in Kwara State. Founded in 1984, it was the first indigenous manufacturer of soap and detergent in Nigeria. The company has five factories and these are as follows.

2. Glycerine Plant

Which uses a by-product of the soap to make glycerine used by pharmaceutical and cosmetic industries.

3. Sulphonation Plant

This plant produces raw material for manufacturing detergent.

4. Sodium Silicate Plant

This plant makes products that are used in producing raw materials for soaps, batteries and textiles.

5. Soap Plant

This plant makes toilet soap

6. Detergent Plant

This plant produces soap and detergent which have won the NIS award for good quality.

7. Lubcon Lubricant Company

The company is located at Lubcon Avenue, Adewole Industrial Layout. It is an indigenous oil producing company.

It won the award for the National Productivity Order of Merit which was given by the National Productivity Centre which is an arm of the Federal Ministry of Labor and Productivity.

President Muhammadu buhari was the one that bestowed this award on them at a ceremony which was held to mark the 15th National Productivity day. The company is also ISO certified

8. KAM Industries Nigeria Limited

This company is a foremost indigenous company that is fast becoming a conglomerate. KAM Industries is the foremost producer of nails and wire products in Nigeria.

They also produce galvanized and color coated roofing sheets. Manufacturing of Packages and quarrying is also carried out. The company has been in operation since 1997 making different products of international quality.

9. Padson Industries

This company is a trading company that has diversified to an Assemblage and Manufacturing company. The Automatic Motorcycle Assembly plant of Padson industries was commissioned in 2004 and it is capable of turning out 600 motorcycles every day.

The company also manufactures different types of adhesives such as contact adhesives, supreme adhesives, polyurethane, polyvinyl acetate and water based glue.

Padson Industries is a major importer of automobile vehicles in Nigeria, assorted building materials; Tiger brand generators, spare parts, tyres and tubes.

10. Tuyil Pharmaceutical Ind. Ltd

This is a food/drug company situated at 22, Stadium Road, Ilorin in Kwara State. The Motorcycle plant was commissioned in 2004 in Ilorin and it produces 600 motorcycles per day.

11. Nefraday Nigeria Ltd

This is a cashew processing company that produces cashew kernels for export. They supply kernels in 20ft containers of 700 x 50lbs cartons to customers in the U.K, Holland, and South Africa. Nefraday Nigeria Ltd has got a staff strength of between 101 – 500 people working for them. Their office is located at 40/42 Amilegbe Road in Ilorin.

12. Iya-Okun Industries Ltd

It was established in 19998 and the company has major interests in the mining and agricultural sectors of Nigeria and it is a major player in these fields.

The mining aspect of the Iya-Okun industries ltd is into the mining and production of marble tiles and milled dolomite. Their quarry site is located in the outskirts of Ilorin at Isale-Osin.

It is situated on 136 hectares of land with available deposits in large quantities on five Federal Government of Nigeria Leases.

A warehouse has also been acquired recently which is located at Asa Dam area of Ilorin. This is where the factory for milling, cutting and polishing is located. The main products they manufacture include dolomite, calcite and granite.

The agricultural site of Iya-Okun Industries Ltd handles projects like poultry, fish farming, rodent farming, oil palm plantation and processing, sheep rearing and goat rearing.

They have between 51- 100 staff in the company and their target market includes North America,South America,Western Europe,Eastern Europe,Eastern Asia,Southeast Asia,Mid East,Africa and Oceania.

13. Etisalat

This is a telecommunication company that was established in the UAE in 1976. It operates in 15 countries across the world. Etisalat has some branches where it operates from in Ilorin, one of this is at 1 B, Sultan IbrahimTaiwo Road, Royals Eatery, Ilorin, where the mini esperience centre is located. Another Etisalat outlet is at shop 13, Kwara Mall.

This telecommunication company is a global telecommunication company that operates in 20 countries across Asia and Africa.

The headquarters is in New Delhi in India. It is among the top 5 mobile service providers globally in terms of subscribers. Airtel offers 2G, 3G and 4G services. It has 264 million customers across its networks. The Ilorin branch is situated at 130 Ibrahim, Taiwo Road, Ilorin.

15. Slot Systems Limited

This company started operations in 1998 and is a household name when it comes to buying affordable and durable mobile phone.

It is an indigenous company that also provides after sales services to their customers. They also provide other services to customers like announcing of new phones that have been developed, new features on mobile phones and gadgets and available upgrades for mobile devices.

They initially started out by importing computer accessories and only switched to sales and services of mobile phones and devices in 2001. Their Ilorin office is located at 27, Muritala Mohammed Way, Maraba, Ilorin.
