iOS 16 review: Apple opens the lock screen

After spending several months in beta, iOS 16 is now available in full, just in time for the release of the iPhone 14 series.Information Guide Nigeria

I’ve been testing the software’s final version for the past week or two, and there are a lot of fresh features to explore, such as programmable lock screens, updates to the Messages app, and cleverer AI techniques.

What’s more, it isn’t broken. The iPhone 8 and newer variants are compatible with the most recent version of Apple’s mobile operating system, albeit some functionality require the relatively recent A12 chip. (More to follow on that.JAMB Result

Other Top Stories:

It was challenging to describe iOS 15’s most important features, which included media sharing, Focus modes, and SharePlay, as an update you’ll notice.

Updates to iOS 16’s personal safety features could also save lives. Now, tapping the side button five times quickly will activate Emergency SOS, which will alarm the phone before automatically dialing emergency services.

When the settings option for Crash Detection is selected, algorithms will be used to combine data from the motion sensor, gyroscope, accelerometer, GPS, barometer, and microphone to determine whether you’ve been in a car accident.

Your iPhone and Apple Watch will both display a warning when it is found.

You can swipe the screen to contact emergency services or to end the alert if it was a false alarm if you’re still awake.

After 10 seconds, the iPhone will automatically contact emergency services, just like the SOS call.
