The initiative was reportedly examined by Sunday Dare, the Minister of Sports and Youth Development.

Despite claims that the fall was caused by a crane, an insider claims that the rush to reach the delivery date was to blame.

On the orders of Tonobok Okowa, chairman of the Delta State Sports Commission, some journalists who went to inspect the level of damage were attacked and dragged out of the stadium.

Okowa, who also serves as Co-Chairman of the Local Organising Committee for the Asaba 2022 festival, ordered his troops to seize the reporters’ equipment.

He said, “Take them out of this place; journalists are not needed.”

When the men were reluctant in carrying out the order, he shouted, “Are they still here? Collect their gadgets and bundle them out of here.

“Several people were injured, but the one the iron hit in the head and two that broke their legs were very serious,” he added.JAMB Result
