Kano governor-elect cautions Ganduje against use of public funds

The Kano State Gov.-elect, Malam Abba Yusuf, has again issued a Public Advisory on the alleged use of public funds to finance the rerun election in the state.Information Guide Nigeria

DAILY NIGERIAN reports that the warning was contained in a statement issued on Friday in Kano by the Chief Press Secretary to the governor-elect, Sanusi Dawakin-Tofa.

The statement reads: ”We are in possession of credible information that Kano State Government has directed the release of N61 million to Mr Doguwa, over N60 million to Nasarawa, over N60 million to Wudil Local Government Areas for the supplementary elections.

“While other local government councils are also listed to receive hundreds of millions of Naira to fund the elections.”

It further stated: “We wish to again caution all the local government chairmen and their management staff to as a matter of responsibility distance themselves and ensure that all public funds already released are not used for such purposes and returned to the appropriate coffers.NYSC Portal

As reported by DAILY NIGERIAN, he appreciated the good Samaritan who came forward to confide in them about some evil plans to be visited on the good people of Kano state ahead of the April 15 supplementary elections.

Dawakin-Tofa warned that anybody found wanting in this scandal will face the necessary action at the most appropriate time.JAMB Result
