Kidnapped Abuja music band regains freedom

The Abuja-based juju band, which was earlier reported to have been kidnapped along the Lokoja highway, has been released from captivity after several days. This news comes as a relief following the alarming incident that was first brought to public attention by singer Adeyinka Adeboye in a social media post on Monday.NYSC Portal

Adeboye had revealed that the band leader and his crew were abducted while returning from a show in Kogi State. In the same post, it was disclosed that the kidnappers had demanded a staggering ransom of N10 million for each member of the band.InformationGuideNigeria

The situation had raised significant concern over the safety of the band members and highlighted the ongoing security challenges in the region. The release of the band members marks the end of a harrowing ordeal for them and their families.
