Professor Muritala Awodun, who currently served the Kwara state government, as the Executive chairman of Kwara State Internal Revenue Service, is likely to return to academics, precisely in September, when his tenure will be expired.

Prof. Awodun made this known at the quarterly media interactive session. According to him; “My tenure expires this September and I’m quitting the office. For the purpose of clarification, even if the incoming administration offers to renew the appointment, I won’t take it. I’m going back to the classroom,” the Prof reaffirmed his stance.

Awodun said the agency, which started with about N17.2 billion annual revenue generation in 2016, and also N19.6 billion in 2017 did generate N23.1 billion last year.
