The Delta State Government has stated that, contrary to online claims, it has never denied the Labour Party a venue for its Presidential Campaign event in the state.

According to the Commissioner, the party never registered for a venue and was denied.
According to the Commissioner, a representative of the party only called him on Sunday morning, January 8, 2023, and requested that the Arcade in Asaba be used.JAMB Result

“The state government immediately within three minutes reached out to the Oshimili South Local Government Council and secured a waiver of all formalities and made the Arcade in Asaba available for the Labour party to hold its presidential rally,” he said.Jamb Portal
The Commissioner went on to say that the state gladly waived the venue fee to demonstrate its democratic credentials and tolerance for disagreement.NYSC Portal
He asked the party, however, to conduct its rally calmly and in accordance with the norms and regulations.
