Makinde announced the suspension of his campaign operations due to the ongoing fuel and new naira-note issue.

He further stated that the suspension is in solidarity with the people in response to the All Progressives Congress (APC)-led Federal Government’s anti-people economic policies.
Dr. Wasiu Olatubosun, Commissioner for Information, Culture, and Tourism in Oyo, confirmed the suspension in a statement made available to DAILY POST.NYSC portal
