In a recent court appearance at the Ikeja High Court, one Suleimon Lawal was arraigned on charges of armed robbery and unlawful association. Lawal allegedly used an iron chair as a weapon during a robbery in which he stole an iPhone from a woman.informationguidenigeria
Lawal entered a not guilty plea to the two-count charge leveled against him. According to the Lagos State counsel, Mrs. B. Ojukutu-Shobande, the defendant committed these offenses on two separate occasions, namely October 5, 2022, and September 5, 2022, at Jetty Waterside, Bayeku, Ikorodu, Lagos State.JAMB Portal
Ojukutu-Shobande further stated that during the October incident, Lawal, armed with an iron chair, robbed a woman named Ms. Karimat Olugowora of an iPhone XR valued at N180,000.NYSC Portal

The prosecution counsel argued that the alleged offenses contravene Section 297 (2) (b) of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015, and Section 2 (3) of the Unlawful Society and Cultism (Prohibition) Law of Lagos State, 2021.
