Mark Zuckerberg asks Facebook and Instagram users to pay N5500 ($12) for verification

Instagram and Facebook users will now be paying N5,500 ($11.99) a month to use the verification badge otherwise known as the blue tick badge.Information Guide Nigeria

Meta CEO the new development will roll out first in Australia and New Zealand this week, will let users “verify your account with a government ID, get a blue badge, get extra impersonation protection against accounts claiming to be you, and get direct access to customer support,” Zuckerberg said.NYSC portal

He wrote in a statement posted to his Facebook account, “This new feature is about increasing authenticity and security across our services.”
