The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) has called for a probe into the fuel subsidy regime in Nigeria. CHANNELS reports.Information Guide Nigeria
The President of the NLC, Joe Ajaero, made the call on Friday, while briefing journalists shortly before the commencement of an emergency meeting of NLC National Executive Council (NEC) in Abuja.
Ajaero criticised what he described as the unilateral decision reached by President Bola Tinubu on the removal of fuel subsidy without consulting the mass of the Nigerian people.JAMB Result

He reiterated the stance of the Labour on the move, saying the decision is not in the favour of the people.
He also called for a probe into the subsidy regime as he alleged huge corruption in the matter.
The reason for discussion by the NLC NEC was the fuel subsidy removal and subsequent hike in the pump price of petrol.NYSC Portal
The NEC comprised all Presidents, General Secretaries, Treasurers of all NLC’s affiliate unions; State Chairpersons and Secretaries of the NLC State Councils, Chairperson of the NLC Youth Committee and members of the National Administrative Council (NAC).
The meeting was held behind closed doors.
