Ogun shuts four hospitals, two laboratories

The Ogun State Government has sealed four hospitals and two medical laboratories for contravening regulatory laws, including infractions such as lack of registration, employing unqualified personnel, operating beyond registered scope, and negligence.JAMB Result

The affected facilities include Ololade Clinic and Maternity Home, Mercygate Hospital, Fehintola Clinic and Maternity Home, Ayomide Outpatient Hospital, Diurnal Medical Laboratory, and Blizz Medical Laboratory. This action is part of the “Operation Stingray” enforcement task force initiative to regulate medical practice in the state and clamp down on unlicensed medical practitioners.

‘The existing ones are to renew their registration annually or else be sanctioned accordingly. Also, we will no longer tolerate those that are registered but choose to operate beyond the scope of their registration or employ personnel that are not qualified to practice.”
