Ondo youths protest Mohbad’s death, seek justice.

Hundreds of youths swarmed key roadways in Akure, the Ondo State capital, to protest the murder of Nigerian singer Promise Oladimeji Aloba (aka MohBad-Imole).InformationGuideNigeria

The protest, which included slogans and appeals for justice, sought to bring attention to the circumstances surrounding Mohbad’s death and to seek justice.

The demonstration, which was coordinated by concerned teenagers and followers of the late musician dressed in black, began at the iconic NEPA roundabout and marched via the Oba Adesida road-Cathedral intersection before going down the Arakale route.JAMB Result

As the demonstration moved across Akure, its momentum intensified, attracting a rising number of young people who joined the cause. Protesters used numerous social media platforms, including hashtags like #JusticeForMohBad, in addition to the physical rally, to voice their issues.NYSC Portal

MohBad, a Nigerian afrobeat musician, died roughly a week ago, shortly after performing at an event in Ikorodu.

The news of his sad death shook the country, leaving fans and fellow artists distraught, with many suspecting foul play in the circumstances surrounding his death.

According to Yemi Afolabi, one of the demonstrators, Mohbad was a rising artist whose light was turned off in his prime.

“No one will accept what happened to him. Mohbad was killed, and before his death, he revealed all those who tormented and were after his life.

“There are many video evidence of how he was bullied, assaulted, and humiliated. He even wrote a petition to the police about all that he was going through, but no action was taken until he died,” he said.
