The speaker, who described the musician’s death as painful and shocking, said the deceased was a talented and highly inspired young musician whose songs are lyrical and melodious.

MEANWHILE, the Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Idowu Owohunwa, yesterday, assured that the body of the late musician will be exhumed before the weekend.
Owohunwa made the promise when a group of prominent female celebrities, including Nigerian actress, Iyabo Ojo, and celebrated skit maker, Bukunmi Adeaga-Ilori, known as KieKie, stormed the State Police Command headquarters in Ikeja, Lagos to demand justice for the late singer.
A peaceful walk to the office of the Lagos State Governor and the Commissioner of Police had earlier been planned for the artist, before Iyabo Ojo, opted for the visit.

The CP said that letters had been dispatched to certain individuals for questioning, while failure to cooperate within the specified deadline, as indicated in the letters, would result in arrests.
He promised to provide security to would-be witnesses and assured protection to anyone who intends to speak out.
“I have deployed some members of the force to the family of Mohbad for protection and security. Iyabo Ojo has approached the police so that justice can be served for the case of Mohbad, and the key takeaway is that they need to work closely with the police to deliver justice.
“There is a need for them to work with us to ensure that the security space is stable to enable us to work effectively. I have ordered security around the family and all witnesses,” he said.JAMB Portal
On her part, Ojo said: “Our visit today has assured me that members of the police, led by the Commissioner of Police, are committed. They requested two weeks, and we will give them that time. This is the first time I’ve had faith in the police, and after two weeks, we will return.
“We are ready to provide any information they need, including witnesses, but we will protect their identities.
“Justice will be achieved if we allow the police to do their job. We, as members of the public, must remain at the forefront to cooperate with them. Some information cannot be disclosed publicly to avoid jeopardising police’s work.”
