The killings that took place in the neighborhood, when the hoodlums ambushed the soldiers while they were performing their regular patrol duties, allegedly prompted the military to mobilize troops to the town.

According to reports, the military men’s invasion caused tension to rise as they ordered the traders to close their stores while firing into the air.
