Peter Obi canvasses 5-year single term for President

The presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), Peter Obi, has proposed a single five-year term for the President of Nigeria.

This proposal, he noted, was a significant part of his campaign strategy during the electioneering phase. If he had been elected, Obi expressed his intention to seek an amendment to the Nigerian Constitution to effect this change, limiting the President’s tenure to just five years.InformationGuideNigeria

This advocacy came in the wake of the Supreme Court’s recent decision to validate the electoral victory of President Bola Tinubu.JAMB Result
