President Tinubu Congratulates Victorious Governors, Urges Governance Over Partisan Politics

President Bola Tinubu has extended his congratulations to Governor Hope Uzodimma of Imo State, Governor Douye Diri of Bayelsa State, and Governor-elect Usman Ododo of Kogi State for their triumph in the November 11 governorship elections. In a gesture of commendation, he emphasized the importance of prioritizing effective governance over partisan politics.

In a statement titled ‘President Tinubu congratulates Governors Hope Uzodimma, Douye Diri and Governor-Elect Usman Ododo on election victory,’ his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale, conveyed the President’s sentiments. Tinubu also praised the electorate in Imo, Kogi, and Bayelsa for their active participation in the democratic process.

The election results were noteworthy. In Imo State, Uzodimma secured 540,308 votes, significantly ahead of the PDP and Labour Party candidates.
