Rap not dead – Rapper, Zoro counters Wizkid

Hip-hop artist Owoh Chimaobi Chrismathner, known professionally as Zoro Swagbag, criticized the Grammy-winning artist Wizkid for his contentious remarks about the rap genre. Zoro expressed his discontent despite Wizkid’s clarification that his comment “rap is dead” did not target Nigerian rappers specifically. Zoro maintained that rappers globally share a common identity and should not be disparaged.InformationGuideNigeria

During an interview with reality TV star Tacha on Cool FM Nigeria in Lagos, Zoro addressed the issue, describing Wizkid’s commentary on the rap genre as poorly presented. His objection highlights the sensitivity and solidarity within the rap community, both in Nigeria and worldwide.JAMB Result

“Of course, rap is not dead. It’s just that we took too long to be able to start making rap as enjoyable as we are making it right now. As the likes of Odumodublvck is doing and Falz has already been doing.”
