Reject calls for relocation of Akwa Ibom election tribunal, group to CJN

A group under the auspices of Patriotic Akwa Ibom Citizens has urged the Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Olukayode Ariwoola, to ignore calls for the relocation of the governorship petition tribunal sitting in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State to the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, by the state, chapter of the Young Progressives Party and its governorship Candidate in the 2023 elections, Senator Bassey Akpan. THE PUNCH reports.

Senator Akpan had petitioned the CJN, demanding the disbandment of the state governorship tribunal panel and subsequent relocation of the tribunal to Abuja, over alleged threats to his life, that of his lawyers, and his witnesses.Information Guide Nigeria
