Ronaldo ‘not meant to win World Cup’ – Okocha

Austin ‘Jay-Jay’ Okocha believes that Cristiano Ronaldo gave his best for Portugal, but was not destined to win the World Cup after Portugal’s loss to Morocco.Information Guide Nigeria

In what is expected to be his final World Cup match for the Selecao, Ronaldo, 37, replaced Ruben Neves in the 51st minute but was unable to avert a 1-0 loss to the Atlas Lions at Al Thumama Stadium.

Youssef En-Nesyri, a forward for Sevilla, scored the decisive goal that propelled the North Africans to the quarterfinals, where they will face France, who defeated England 2-1 in the other quarterfinal contest.

The 49-year-old Okocha, who played for the Super Eagles 73 times between 1993 and 2006 and scored 14 times, believes that the former Manchester United forward was not destined to add the World Cup championship to his illustrious career.JAMB Result
