Former minister of aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode, has described the exit of Burkina Faso, Mali and Niger from the Economic Community of West African States, ECOWAS, as a sad and uncomfortable development, as per DAILYPOST.

According to the military juntas, it was a “sovereign decision” to leave the ECOWAS “without delay”.
Recall that all three were suspended from ECOWAS, with Niger and Mali facing heavy sanctions.
The juntas have recently hardened their positions and joined forces in an “Alliance of Sahel States”.
“The withdrawal of Mali, Burkina Faso and Mali from ECOWAS is a sad and unfortunate development,” Fani-Kayode wrote on X.JAMB Portal
