Sallah Celebration: Kano Approves 10-Day Holiday For Schools

Sallah Celebration: Kano Approves 10-Day Holiday For Schools

The Kano State Government has approved a ten-day holiday for schools in the state as Muslims worldwide celebrate the Eid-el Kabir festival. ICIR reports.

Aliyu Yusuf, the Spokesperson of the Kano State Ministry of Education stated this in a statement that the holiday would commence on Thursday, July 7 to Sunday, July 17.

But students participating in the NECO, NABTEB, and NBAIS examinations and those on an exchange programme from other states at the Government Secondary School, Gwarzo, and Government Secondary School, Shekara, are to continue their examination and programme, respectively, during the period, according to the statement. The ministry directed all school heads to ensure boarding students return to school on July 17. Day students are to resume on July 18, the date for resumption of academic activities.
