Secondary school students stab teacher to death in Taraba

The Taraba State Police Command has officially confirmed the tragic death of a secondary school teacher, Bassy Sardauna, who was attacked and killed by students in Jalingo.

The confirmation was made by the command’s spokesperson, Abdullahi Usman, who stated that the victim was an educator at Model Secondary School, Jalingo.

The spokesperson detailed that the primary suspect, identified as a former student of the school, along with accomplices who are current students, were involved in the fatal stabbing of the teacher.

Sardauna was rushed to the Federal Medical Centre (FMC) in Jalingo for medical attention but, unfortunately, succumbed to his injuries.JAMB Portal

Investigations have been initiated by the command to uncover the full circumstances of the incident. Usman also noted that the police are actively pursuing all students implicated in the crime and called on the public to assist by providing any information that may lead to their apprehension.InformationGuideNigeria

The motive behind the attack is believed to be linked to the teacher’s recent disciplinary actions against some students. A medical staff member at FMC confirmed the teacher’s death shortly after his admission to the facility.JAMB Result

While the school’s authorities were unavailable for comment, other staff members who spoke on the incident highlighted a growing concern over the conduct of some senior students.

They have appealed to law enforcement to ensure that justice is served and the responsible individuals are held accountable for their actions.
