A Senator representing Kano South Senatorial District, Kawu Sumaila, has said that President Bola Tinubu will commit a coup against democracy if he sends Nigerian troops to Niger without the approval of the National Assembly. DAILY NIGERIAN reports.

Mr. Sumaila said this while speaking to reporters at an event in Kano on Sunday.
He said: “There is inconsistency in ECOWAS. They are there to protect democracy. Is it not what they are saying? Democracy is a constitutional government.
