Super Eagles AFCON 2023 provisional squad reportedly leaked

The provisional squad for the Super Eagles, Nigeria’s national football team, for the upcoming 2023 Africa Cup of Nations has been revealed ahead of schedule. As reported by ACL Sports, head coach Jose Peseiro has initially selected a list of 40 players.

This provisional list includes notable new additions, particularly in the goalkeeping department, with Stanley Nwabili and Christian Nwoke being named. Alhassan Yusuf is another fresh inclusion in the squad.

The Super Eagles, who are three-time champions of the Africa Cup of Nations, find themselves in a challenging Group A. They are set to compete against the host nation Cote d’Ivoire, as well as Equatorial Guinea and Guinea-Bissau.
