Suspected arsonists set ablaze 75-year-old woman, two others in Kogi

A 75-year-old woman in Kogi State named Mallama Meimunat Opaluwa Sani, along with her first daughter, Hajarat Usman Sani, and a five-year-old granddaughter, Onechojo, tragically lost their lives due to an arson attack.NYSC Portal

This horrific event occurred in the early hours of Thursday morning at Mallama Sanis residence in Oketekwe, in the Idah Local Government Area.

According to a report by DAILY POST, a group of unidentified individuals targeted Mallama Sani’s house, pouring petrol on it while the family was asleep, and then setting it ablaze.JAMB Portal

The Kogi State Police Public Relations Officer, SP William Ovye Aya, has stated that the police had not yet been informed about the incident but promised to provide updates once more information becomes available.
