This horrific event occurred in the early hours of Thursday morning at Mallama Sani‘s residence in Oketekwe, in the Idah Local Government Area.
According to a report by DAILY POST, a group of unidentified individuals targeted Mallama Sani’s house, pouring petrol on it while the family was asleep, and then setting it ablaze.JAMB Portal

The five-year-old granddaughter, Onechojo, passed away immediately from severe burns. Mallama Sani and her daughter were urgently taken to a hospital; however, Mallama Sani later succumbed to her injuries. Her daughter remains in critical condition.JAMB Result
Mallama Meimunat Opaluwa Sani was a respected figure in her community, having been honored with the title of Akwuma Attah Igala in 2023. Following the tragedy, the remains of Mallama Sani and her granddaughter were buried according to Islamic rites.InformationGuideNigeria
