It was reported that the incident which happened between 10pm Monday and 1am Tuesday threw the community into a state of panic when the bandits stormed it on motorcycles.

A member of the CJTF who pleaded anonymity said, “The bandits opened fire and hit the commander on his legs, he fell to the ground and they shot him in the head, shattering his skull. The resident was also hit by a bullet and died on the way to the hospital.

“The bandits might have targeted the house of the medical doctor in the area because they went straight to his residence and abducted him and six members of his family.

“They raided other close-by houses and abducted nine people.”
