Tinubu to get ‘Grand Commander of African Politics’ award

The All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for president, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, will receive the Grand Commander of African Politics honor from the Coalition for A Better Nigeria on February 14.

The award, according to the group’s national coordinator Awa Bamiji, will cap a five-month campaign by the organisation to mobilize and publicize support for Tinubu’s candidacy.Information Guide Nigeria

The event, according to a statement from Bamiji, is a part of celebrations for the June 12 election’s annulment’s 30th anniversary.

According to him, it will also signify the “commitment of the global community of civil societies to show their undying love for the presidential candidate.”
The ceremony will be held inside the Presidential Campaign Council Headquarters, Wuse, Abuja, under the chairmanship of Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai, Bamiji said.NYSC portal

He added: “The event, which is billed to be viewed live on TVC, has Kano State Governor Abdullahi Ganduje, and his Lagos State counterpart Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu, as guest speakers.”

The topic of discussion, according to the organisers, is “Remembering Lagos’ security, economy, and human and physical capacity developments: vote Tinubu secure future, do otherwise embrace failure”.

President Muhammadu Buhari will be the chief host while APC National Chairman Abdullahi Adamu and Plateau State Governor, who doubles as Director–General, Tinubu/Shettima Presidential Campaign Council, Simon Lalong, are the hosts.

Tinubu will be the special guest of honour while members of the Progressive Governors Forum (PGF) and All APC Presidential Aspirants were listed as guests of honour.JAMB Result
