Seun Kuti, the Grammy-nominated afrobeat singer and son of the late afrobeat legend Fela Kuti, has revealed that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu was his political mentor. He made this disclosure during an interview with media personality Chude Jideonwo.

Seun Kuti explained that he has a strong and supportive relationship with President Tinubu, referring to him as an “uncle” and revealing that Tinubu served as a mentor to him during his formative years.JAMB Portal

He also highlighted President Tinubu’s significant role as a leading member of the National Democratic Coalition (NADECO), which fought for Nigeria’s democracy after the military annulled the June 12, 1993 presidential election, which was assumed to have been won by Chief MKO Abiola.JAMB Result

Kuti said, “My relationship with President Tinubu on a personal level is very robust. I grew up knowing him as an uncle. He was a very good friend of uncle Beko [Kuti]. He was a political mentor to me growing up as a child.
