However, below is the top 10 richest pastors in Nigeria, according to 2021 statistics:

Bishop David Oyedepo ($180 Million)

This is a well-known pastor in Nigeria the world over, Bishop David Oyedepo is ranked the richest Nigerian pastor known around the world.

He founded other organizations apart from his church, the Living Faith church (a k a the Winners Chapel). His earnings from all his establishments have put him at a net worth of about $180 million dollars.

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome ($70 Million)

He is the founder of one of the fast growing churches in Nigeria. Some reports have it that his church openly asks members for money, stating that the money is given part of their prayers. Pastor Chris Oyakhilome’s church is called Christ Embassy Church.

According to the reports, the church teaches members to “sow seeds” for their future, and that the seeds are being described as a portion of members earnings, the report said that giving will earn members the favour of God.

Pastor E.A Adeboye ($50 Million)

Pastor E.A Adeboye did not begin his church like other pastors on this list, although, he took over from his predecessor, the church, the Redeemed Christian Church of God, begins to be popular when Pastor Adeboye took over.

Accordingly, within the space of a few years, he has succeeded in changing everything, as well as, taking the church to prominence, and has branches in over 192 nations.

Prophet T.B Joshua ($25 Million)

T B Joshua is said to be the internet and YouTube celebrity. Prophet Temitope Babatunde Joshua (a k a T.B Joshua) began small, and soon, he has become one of the top 10 richest pastors in Nigeria, with over two and a half million fans on social media.

He owns one of the popular Christian channels in Africa, known as, Emmanuel TV. His church is called The Synagogue Church of All Nations.

Pastor Matthew Ashimolowo ($20 Million)

Pastor Ashimolowo, according to a report, is surrounded with a controversial history. Pastor Matthew Ashimolowo is the founder of the Kingsway International Christian Center.

He is said to have been converted from Islam to Christianity when he was 20, and today has risen to prominence via his church, the Kingsway International Christian Center.

Bishop Ayo Oritsejafor ($15 Million)

Bishop Ayo Oritsejafor had said that becoming a pastor was his destiny. Telling his story, he said the mother was desperately in need of a son.

Hence, she prayed, asking God for a son, whom she will also give back to God, perhaps, this had explained why he became a pastor in 1972. It was after he started his church, which is called The Book of Life Church, that he Ayo Oritsejafor rose to prominence.

Pastor Chris Okotie ($12 Million)

Pastor Chris Okotie is one pastor, who had made his money before venturing into church business. Before he founded his church, he was known to be a popular musician in the 1980s.

Pastor Chris Okotie turned a Christian and founded a church called, the Household of God Church. His church is made up of people such as celebrities and also musicians, and they have helped in making Pastor Chris, a millionaire.

Pastor Gbenga Oso ($3.5 Million)

The early life of Pastor Gbenga Oso has not been made public. Pastor Gbenga Oso is said to be fellowshipping with the Gospel Faith Mission International before he had a call to begin his church called, the Laughter Foundation Church.

His wealth, according to reports, came as a result of the miracle he does and the giving of people children. The report said that he is in the habit of giving barren women the gift of a conception of children, which according to it, modern medicine can not achieve that.

Bishop Mike Okonkwo ($3 Million)

He was formally a banker, before he had his calling in the year, 1970 when Jesus converted him. Although Mike Okonkwo had a military background, as a result of the Nigerian Civil War and also two years of experience in the Banking sector, he had to become born again and subsequently worshipped with the United Church of Christ in 1972, where he began his career as a pastor.

After six years, he founded his church, The Redeemed Evangelical Mission, which soon became one of the popular churches in the town.

Pastor Lazarus Muoka ($3 Million)

Pastor Lazarus Muoka, was a businessman before ventured into church business, and founded his church by name, the Lord`s Chosen Charismatic Revival Movement.

His ability to perform a miracle has attracted impressive members to his congregation over the years hence, he had taken his church to a greater height.
