Ubi Franklin Reacts To Debt Allegation

The Triple MG founder, Ubi Franklin has been called out by a Twitter user, Orebanz, for owing her for the services she rendered.Information Guide Nigeria

Orebanz, who is a web designer, said Ubi Franklin contacted her through Iyanya’s Twitter account and asked her to work on a website for him.

She revealed that they had an agreement on the amount he would pay and when the work should be ready.

According to THE WILL, Orebanz posted screenshots of some of their conversation adding that Ubi Franklin stopped picking up her calls and responding to her messages; she had to call him out on Twitter because of the delay in payment.

Responding to her call out, Ubi Franklin said,

“I have been briefed about this post trending on Twitter and I will quickly like to address it. I have, since 2021, built a prop-tech platform and it’s been running since then.

“I was catching up with a senior friend on the platform in January 2023 and what I’d like to do with it. While we’re talking, he did mention a certain lady on Twitter whose tweets will always pop up on his timeline and would like to give her a job.NYSC Portal

“I asked for her name and DM her through Iyanya’s Twitter because my phone was down, Iyanya was there and his phone was on.

“She didn’t build the platform, the platform has been live for two years before I knew her. We got talking and election pressure, I told her we will get to meet and talk after election and she agreed.

“After election, I travelled to cool off this head before it will blow off and today, I was going over schedule and I saw her messages and missed calls and I replied her.

“Through opening the messages, I saw threats that she was going to call me out on social media and I was like hold on.

“I called my friend who asked me to give her a try so he could use her after I have vetted her and sure she could deliver.

“I forwarded the messages from the said lady, who had been issuing threats, and I forwarded her account number to him so he could pay her pending when I get back to review the work she had done and boom, I had been called out on Twitter and my last message is that my PA will call her tomorrow and finalize other details. Her reply was that she had already called me out on Twitter.JAMB Result

“If you asked that lady, the first day we spoke on Zoom, I told her the main job is coming and not this one because this is already done.

“I have been building tech platforms since 2015 and I have never had an issue with anyone who has worked on it.

“Honestly, I am sure the amount in question, 350k, is not worth the damage. But she wants to trend and she’s got it. I have my tech team, which I have been using since 2015 and I have never had cause to change them, they built all my platforms and we have never had financial issues.JAMB Result

“But in this case, someone wants to push the job in her way and I am the vetting officer but we learn every day.

“But hey, I have a name and someone will prey on it when they like and that’s not ok on all levels.

“People are so inclined to believe negative things about you but they see positive things and throw their eyes away.

“I will legally address this in the coming weeks and this will set a precedent.”
