The Inspector General of Police, Usman Alkali Baba, says the police are gearing up for any possible security threat during the planned industrial action by the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC). CHANNELS reports.

Baba asked the police managers to develop proactive measures to forestall any untoward acts.
Last Thursday, the NLC said it would embark on a nationwide strike on Wednesday as fuel prices skyrocketed across the country occasioned by President Bola Tinubu’s inaugural speech in which he declared that “fuel subsidy is gone”.
