Veteran Kannywood actor Kawu Mala is dead

The Kannywood film industry, which creates movies in the Hausa language in northern Nigeria, is mourning the loss of one of its members, Aminu Muhammad, who was commonly known as Kawu Mala in the TV series ‘Dadin Kowa,’ broadcast on Arewa24.Information Guide Nigeria

The actor died on Sunday evening, May 7, after battling a cardiac condition for several years. Mala was a well-known actor with over 20 years of experience, and he rose to prominence for his major part in the popular TV series.

Mala, who was survived by his wife and more than ten children, was laid to rest in accordance with Islamic traditions on Monday morning at Haye Cemetery in Nasarawa Local Government Area of Kano State.
