The group conducted a focused group discussion with farmers in the Kwaita community in the Kwali Area Council of Federal Capital Territory (FCT) and discovered that climate change has continued to take a toll on farmers.

MAWA foundation quoted a farmer, Mr. Alkali Obadan, saying that excess heat from weather conditions is militating against their harvest output.NYSC Portal
“Our yams are spoiling inside the storage facilities as a result of excess heat from the weather condition, we are losing money, and each of us has stories of how he lost a huge harvest to hot weather,” Obadan said.
“Therefore, there is an urgent need for the Nigerian state and climate change advocates to commence interventions with a practical designed approach with clear measurement indicators to address it at its core”, the group stated.JAMB Result
