More than 25,000 birds have been killed by a flood that ravaged Matuuci Farms Ltd., an automated complex located in Ogbaru council area of Anambra state. THE CABLE reports.Information Guide Nigeria
Speaking to newsmen on Wednesday, Patrick Sule-Ugboma, proprietor of the farm, said about 400 staff of the company had been directed to stop work and operations have ceased.

Sule-Ugboma said the flood also affected some bridges on Onitsha-Ndoni road, especially Umunnakwo bridge.
Sule-Ugboma said the bridge collapse poses danger to residents and travellers, who often cross the river by wooden boats.JAMB Portal
He appealed to the federal and Anambra state governments to urgently address the situation.
“I am calling on governor Charles Soludo to look into the plight of our people, especially with flooding hitting Ogbaru communities again,” he said.JAMB Result
“I also call on the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) to consider reconstruction of the Onitsha-Ndoni Road.NYSC Portal
“Agriculture is the mainstay of communities in Ogbaru as well as communities in Delta, Imo and Rivers states.”
