144 fake World Cup trophies seized in Qatar
Authorities in Qatar announced on Wednesday that they had confiscated 144 counterfeit World Cup trophies, the latest raid on the market ahead of the football tournament, which begins later this month.
According to the interior ministry, detectives initiated an investigation “based on information about a website that promotes the sale of cups that mimic the true shape of the World Cup.”Information Guide Nigeria

The government did not indicate where the trophies were discovered or whether any suspects had been apprehended.
FIFA and Qatari authorities have recently increased their cautions regarding disseminating or purchasing World Cup forgeries.
After unique plates were auctioned in online auctions, Qatar advised drivers in June that having a World Cup insignia on car number plates was unlawful.JAMB Result
Five persons were arrested one month earlier for selling counterfeit World Cup clothing.
They busted a facility in the Gulf state making perfume in bottles unlawfully using the World Cup name at the end of 2021.
