20-year-old housewife kills co-wife with pestle in Bauchi

A housewife was detained in Bauchi for reportedly murdering her co-wife with a pestle, according to the police.Information Guide Nigeria

Using a pestle, the suspect allegedly struck her husband’s first wife on the head, resulting in her death.

The crime reportedly occurred in Gar Village, Pali Ward, Alkaleri Local Government Area, Bauchi State, according to the police.

Ahmed Walil, the Police Public Relations Officer for the Bauchi State Command, claimed in a press release that on November 22, 2022, the suspect’s husband reported the event to the Maina-Maji Divisional Police Headquarters.

She revealed that on Tuesday, 22nd November 2022 at about 11.00am, the deceased (Hafsat Ibrahim), sent her son, Abdulaziz Ibrahim (5) with a lump of fried meat known as (Tsire) to give her (Maryam). And after eating the meat, she started feeling abnormal and she then vomited the meat.JAMB portal

“Thereafter, she (the suspect) called one Faiza Hamisu, female, of the same address, the wife of her husband’s younger brother, and told her exactly what happened.

“She added that the said Faiza told her that it was probably an ulcer; she (Faiza), then gave her an ulcer drug.

“Subsequently, the suspect provocatively went to her kitchen, picked a pestle and entered the first wife’s room while she was asleep and hit her on the head, leading to her death.”JAMB Result
