Kogi: Three killed as flood displaces over 50,000 people in Ibaji

Over 50,000 people have been displaced by Flood in Ibaji Local Government Area of Kogi State.

This was confirmed on Wednesday by the representative for the area, Atule Egbunu.Infomation Guide Nigeria

He said that the calamity claimed the lives of three further people and that the entire local government was drowned underwater.

Egbunu stated that the calamity, which he called a “unfortunate annual disaster,” has inundated thousands of homes and farmlands.

The legislator urged the federal government and the international community to assist the people because they now lack the resources necessary to deal with the harm brought on by the calamity.

Additionally, he pleaded with the state administration to step in immediately to help the residents of Ibaji, especially those who had been harmed by the flood.
