He said it also offered some other employees a voluntary buyout offer.“I’ve been in this role now for about a year and a half, and without a doubt, this is the most difficult decision we’ve made during that time (and, we’ve had to make some very tough calls over the past couple of years, particularly during the heart of the pandemic),” Jassy wrote in the memo.

The company has not disclosed publicly how many employees it laid off this week across its entire corporate workforce; however, some Seattle-based employees have reported being laid off as well.JAMB Result
Jassy stated that the corporation has not yet determined how many other positions will be affected. As the corporation undergoes its yearly assessment process, which will extend into next year, he noted that there will be layoffs in specific divisions.
As they assess employment losses, he stated that firm management will prioritize what matters most to customers and the company’s long-term health. Amazon is providing severance payouts for departing employees. However, unlike Meta, it has not publicly disclosed the package’s contents. The company employs more than 1.5 million workers worldwide, the majority of whom are hourly employees.
