The state party chairman, Isaac Omodewu, while presenting the flags at the inaugural campaign ceremony held in the mainbowl of the Oba Lamidi Adeyemi mini stadium in Oyo town, urged the candidates to work tirelessly and ensure the party won all elective offices in the 2023 elections.

Omodewu stated that all of the party’s candidates, including its gubernatorial contender, Senator Teslim Folarin, had exemplary political records.

He stated that it was high time for the people to liberate the state from the Peoples Democratic Party, adding that the only way to do it was through their ballots.

Over 2000 members of the New Nigeria People’s Party were welcomed into the APC by Omodewu, who noted that their choice to join the party was based in part on the members’ standing.

Senator Teslim Folarin, the party’s candidate for governor, praised the efforts of the Senator Femi Lanlehin Reconciliatory Committee in his speech. He claimed that the fact that prominent party figures were present at the event was proof that the committee’s efforts were starting to bear fruit.

The only way to improve the current situation, he added, was through an inclusive administration, assuring the members of this.

Former state deputy governor Engineer Rauf Olaniyan, attorney Iyiola Oladokun, senator Musiliu Obanikoro, and a large number of other people were present during the inauguration campaign ceremony.JAMB Result
