Appeal Court affirms APC’s Isah Jibrin as Kogi East senator

In a decisive ruling on Thursday, the Court of Appeal confirmed the election of Jibrin Isah of the All Progressives Congress (APC) as the senator representing Kogi East.NYSC Portal

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) had previously declared Isah as the victor of the Kogi East Senatorial District election.

However, the election result faced challenges from Victor Adoji, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, who finished second in the polls.JAMB Result

Adoji contested Isah’s win at the tribunal, citing that elections were cancelled in some polling units and demanded the victory of Isah be nullified. He also urged the tribunal to mandate a supplementary election for the 94 affected polling units within the senatorial district.JAMB Portal
