According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman(Opens in a new tab), Apple is working on a low-cost, iPad-like device that will allow you to control various smart home functions such as thermostats and lights. According to the report, it will also be able to display video and manage FaceTime chats.

Yes, it sounds similar to what Amazon and Google already offer with their Echo Show and Nest Hub products, but expect Apple to put its own Apple-y spin on the device.
