The presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Atiku Abubakar, Monday, received no fewer than 10,000 members of the All Progressives Congress who abandoned the party for the PDP in Nasarawa State.
Receiving the defectors with the PDP National Chairman, Iyorchia Ayu, during the party’s presidential campaign rally in Lafia, Atiku commended them for having the bravery to quit the APC.Information Guide Nigeria

He also promised to generate work opportunities for youngsters across the 13 Local Government Areas of the state, and start on big projects to strengthen the state’s economy.

“Let me also announce that my administration will construct a road that will link Nasarawa with neighbouring states. So, we want you all to give us your votes the way you gave us in the previous elections,” Atiku added.
Ayu, on his part, expressed optimism that the PDP will deliver at least 95% of the vote to Atiku in 2023, notwithstanding the presence of the APC in Nasarawa State.JAMB portal
David Ombugadu, the PDP’s gubernatorial nominee in the state, expressed confidence in the state’s electorate’s willingness to vote for PDP candidates in the 2023 general election during his welcome address.
Since he entered active politics in 2011, he has provided free healthcare to 18,000 state citizens, and has pledged to do more for the people if he is elected governor in 2023.
