Auto crash claims one in Anambra

A tragic road accident in Anambra State resulted in the death of a female passenger. The accident, which occurred opposite Ihembosi Junction along Owerri Road in Okija, involved two vehicles—a Nissan commercial bus from Rivers Joy Mass Transit and a Nissan Pathfinder Jeep with an unidentified registration number.

The Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) in Anambra State, Mr. Adeoye Irelewuyi, confirmed the incident to journalists in Awka on Thursday. He reported that the likely causes of the accident were route violation and speeding, which are common factors in many road traffic accidents.JAMB Result

According to eyewitness accounts, as stated by the sector commander, the collision occurred when the Nissan Pathfinder Jeep and the commercial bus from Rivers Joy Mass Transit collided. This collision caused the bus driver to lose control of the vehicle, leading to it somersaulting.

The loss of the female passenger in this accident is a solemn reminder of the dangers of route violations and speeding on the roads. This incident underscores the importance of road safety measures and adherence to traffic regulations to prevent such unfortunate occurrences.NYSC Portal
