Build Your Blog, Skyrocket Your Productivity and Live Your Dreams

You’ve seen blogs out there that make six figures.

You’ve had your blog up and running for a while. The traffic seems not to be forthcoming. It’s taking too much time. Your blog seems like an empty vacuum. No one is reading your posts.

You’ve shared your posts on Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest and other social networks, but it seems no one sees them. Day after day, you go to your dashboard only to find out there are few or no comments.

It feels like making money from a blog isn’t for you.

That feeling is frustrating, isn’t it?

Don’t worry, you’re not alone.

Build Your Blog

Growing a successful blog is like growing a bamboo tree. Bamboo trees are one of the fastest growing trees in the world. They have a growing rate of 91cm per day.

But does the tree start growing at that rate immediately it’s planted? No!

In fact, for the first four years, it has a slow growth. It devotes its energy—for the first few years—to building its root. At that time, it seems nothing is happening. And finally, it skyrockets its growth.

Your first few months of blogging are similar to the early stage of the bamboo tree. This is when you devote your time to building a strong foundation for your blog.

Build a strong foundation for your blog by doing lots of guest posting, researching, meeting influencers, and so on.

The problem with most newbies is fear! You’re afraid.

You’re afraid of failure. You’re afraid of making mistakes. You’re afraid you might regret taking actions.

You start asking yourself, ‘Is this really for me?’, ‘Can I do this?’, ‘What if I don’t make it?’, ‘What if no one cares?’

The real question you should ask yourself is, ‘What if all these thoughts are just an illusion?’

If others can make it, you also can.

Franklin Roosevelt—former US President—said, “The only thing we have to fear is fear itself”. Fail, make that mistake and learn.

You won’t know if you’ll make it until you try. If you don’t try, you’ll never make it.  Think big! Think so big that you almost feel it’s unrealistic.

Think big but start small.

No matter how long it takes to achieve your goal, never quit. The difference between bloggers that become successful and those that quit somewhere down the line is their mindset. Have the ‘get rich or die trying’ mindset. You either make it or continue trying. But never a quitter!

Skyrocket Your Productivity

I know since it takes a lot of time to build a successful blog. Somewhere down the line, you begin to feel less motivated.

Your passion begins to burn out. Everyone around you doesn’t really understand how this will work for you. This is daunting!

They want to see you make progress but they just don’t see how blogging helps. This makes you go crazy. You’re probably sick of hearing that background noise.

It’s troubling, right?

The worst thing you can do at this moment is joining them.

Here’s your regimen to skyrocketing your motivation:

·        Hang Out With Positive Minds

In a situation where everyone around you seems not to understand you, their negative talks over time can bring you down.

What you’ll do to counter this is to hang out with positive minds. Hang out with people who understand you, who understand how you feel and can even help you out.

While you may not be able to physically hang out with successful bloggers, you can do that by listening to podcasts, reading success stories, or even biographies.

Podcasts give you the opportunity to learn about successful people of your choice. You get to know what challenges they’ve overcome and how they did it. You get to know what they’re planning, and it almost feels like you’re physically together. This can lift your spirit!

·        Make Out Time for Blogging

Sometimes, you really want to build your dream blog. You know you can do it. But the problem is you’re always busy.

You’ve got no time.

You’ve got a day job. And when you return, you feel exhausted. All you want to do is to collapse. I’ve been in this situation before and I know how it feels.

You have to make out time for blogging if you really are serious about it. Building a successful blog is more than just blogging for 30 minutes a day.

Blogging is a real business! You can make money with your blog by being an author, freelancer, speaker, or even being an online coach. You have to dedicate enough time to grow your blog just like every other offline business.

Making out time will fast track the growth of your blog and you’ll achieve your goals in no time.

The longer it takes, the more frustrated you become.

You don’t necessarily have to quit your job right out if you’ve got a day job. You can kick off by, first, ruthlessly cutting out the time you spend on TV., friends, and a few other things.

You can also try going to bed earlier and waking up earlier. Spend like two hours on your blog in the morning before going to work. This can be daunting but it’s worth it.

And when you start making enough income from your blog to substitute your salary, you can think of leaving your job.

·        Be Focused

You may leave your job, or cut out the time you spend on a few other things and feel ‘oh I now have time for my blog’. All the time you now have can be wasted on unnecessary things if you aren’t focused.

Now that you’ve created the time, people may try to sneak in some things like ‘can you please do this for me?’, ‘oh I need your help please’. You have to let them know you’re busy. You have to let them know you have an important business to do. You have to be focused.

Another time killer that can shatter your motivation is social media. While trying to do some research online, you can end up wasting your time Facebooking or Tweeting.

You have to know you’re an entrepreneur and you have serious business to do. You’re on a mission to build a successful six-figure blog and you have no time to waste on trivial things.

·        Read a Lot and Write a lot

The American author, Steven King profoundly said, “If you want to be a writer, you must do two things above all others: read a lot and write a lot”.

As a blogger, you’re a writer. You have to read loads of information.

Read at least an hour a day. Read widely. Don’t limit yourself to a particular niche. Read books ranging from marketing, science, fiction, to romance.

The good thing with reading widely is, when you need information to put down as blog posts, your mind subconsciously connects the information you’ve read from different sources, without having to stress your brain.

Reading widely makes you creative.

Similarly, you have to write a lot. These are two things that go hand in hand and are important to you as a blogger.

Train yourself to be a good writer. Write every day.

Early hours of the day is the best time to write. That is when your brain is fresh and very productive.

People have different hours in which they’re most productive. But for most people, it’s the early hours of the day. Know your most productive moment and write at that time. Remember what works is what’s best.

And when you write, write at the same time every day.

Live Your Dreams

And now you have the good news.

If you do all I’ve said, you’ll build a successful blog that’ll constantly generate the income you’ve always dreamt of. You’ll go from zero to hero.

Everything will become easier. Crafting compelling blog posts will become easier.

As a freelance writer, you’ll begin to get more writing gigs. You’ll start having massive audience paying you to have you coach them if you’re an online coach. As an author, many people will buy your books and that means more money.

You’ll make that dream of changing lives. That remarkable dream of becoming a famous entrepreneur will come true. You don’t have to ever look for a job again.

Remember all I’ve said.

Put in your efforts to building a good foundation for your blog while growing it like a bamboo tree.

Be motivated; hang out with positive minds and be sure to create enough time for your blog. Be focused, don’t lose concentration. Read and write a lot. You’ll surely achieve your dreams.

You’ve heard this over time: the path to success is not a smooth one.

It’s rough. Above all things, you need patience and perseverance to cross the hurdles. Fear is your greatest hurdle.

Do the needful, surround yourself with positive minds and you’ll make progress consistently.

As a blogger, you’re an entrepreneur. You’re the CEO of your blog. You’re the decision maker.

Become an unstoppable force. Let no one bring you down. Believe in yourself and make that dream come true.
