Prof. Greg Ibe, the Chancellor of Gregory University, Uturu (GUU), has been nominated as the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) in Abia State.

Prof. Ibe scored 283 votes to beat his closest rival, Mr. Etigwe Uwa, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria, who got 148 votes while a retired army chief, Major Gen. Ijeoma N. INDEPENDENT reports.Information Guide Nigeria

Announcing Prof. Ibe as the winner of the primary election held at the Kolping Society of Nigeria conference centre, Umuahia, the Chief Returning Officer for APGA Governorship Primary for Abia State, Mr. Echezuna Etiaba, said a total of 482 delegates were accredited while three votes were voided.
