Confusion in Bauchi as APC rally ends suddenly

The All Progressives Congress presidential campaign rally in Bauchi State was cut short due to a faulty sound system.Information Guide Nigeria

On Monday, the rally at Bauchi’s Abubakar Tafawa Balewa Stadium was cut short when the light went out and could not be restored.

The light went out shortly after the APC’s National Chairman, Abdullahi Adamu, took the podium and began delivering his speech.

The President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd. ), who was present at the rally, was forced to leave immediately with his entourage.

Around 10:20 a.m., the President’s plane touched down at Bauchi’s Sir Abubakar Tafawa Balewa airport.

He was greeted by Bauchi State Governor Bala Mohammed, the Peoples Democratic Party’s candidate, and his opponent in the March 11 governorship election, Air Marshal Sadique Abubakar.

Buhari had paid a courtesy visit to the Palace of Bauchi’s Emir, Dr Rilwanu Adamu, before proceeding to the Sir Tafawa Balewa Stadium, the site of the campaign rally.

Buhari was scheduled to officially present the APC candidates to the Bauchi electorate at the rally before departing for Lagos, where he will begin his two-day working visit.

Buhari will unveil several projects in Lagos, including the Lekki deep sea port, the blue line rail project, which will run from Mile 2 (on the mainland) to Marina; the 32-metric tonnes Lagos Rice Mill, Imota; and the 18.75km Eleko to Epe T Junction express road.JAMB Result
