The Independent Corrupt Practices and other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) arrested and detained Oladapo Oyebanji, better known by his stage name D’banj.
PREMIUM TIMES has learned exclusively that the musician was arrested and imprisoned on Tuesday after ICPC agents forced him to surrender at the agency’s headquarters in Abuja, the capital of Nigeria.JAMB Result
Insiders claimed that D’banj had evaded summons for weeks by claiming to be abroad for booked concerts each time he was invited to appear for interrogation over a fraud charge.
The musician is accused of fraudulently diverting hundreds of naira allocated by the Nigerian government for the N-Power project, an empowerment initiative launched by the Nigerian government in 2016 to combat youth unemployment and boost social development.NYSC portal
