I Wish Akpanudoedehe Didn’t Leave, Akwa Ibom APC Chieftain
The one-time state Chairman of the defunct Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN), Aniekan Akpan, has said that he wished that the immediate past National Secretary Caretaker Extraordinary Convention Committee, James Akpanudoedehe “did not run away from the APC”. INDEPENDENT reports.

Addressing journalists in Uyo yesterday, Akpan, who alleged to have won the just-concluded Eket Federal Constituency nomination, said: “If you ask me, I would leave the greater blame of the crisis in Akwa Ibom APC on the doorstep of the immediate past National Secretary Caretaker Extraordinary Convention Committee, James Akpanudoedeghe. “I wish he did not run away from the APC. “I think the problem started right from when we were having membership re-registration exercise, before the ward congresses now started. Senator J.J Akpanudoedehe was the highest party member of the party”. jamb results
“I do not see what it would have taken for him to have called everybody; Godswill Akpabio, Umana Umana, Etiebet, and others to discuss how to resolve the crisis in the party, but he did not do it.
“He felt because he had an aspiration, he should be able to take the registration officer even in Godswill Akpabio’s unit. I think that was unfair. So that was the genesis of the problem we have at the moment.
“Put yourself in the position of Godswill Akpabio and others that had eventually gone to Court over the ward congress, would you have sat down for someone to come and appoint a registration officer in your own unit.”
