In-Law Demands Justice Over Alleged Abuse Of MC Bonus’ Wife

The mother of MC Bonus’ late wife, who died with her baby during childbirth after allegedly suffering domestic violence, is seeking justice.Information Guide Nigeria

Recall that Emmanuel Chigozie, also called  MC Bonus, was accused of allegedly beating his pregnant wife, Itunu to death over N2.7m she loaned him.

However, MC Bonus claimed she died due to childbirth complications adding that the photos of scars on his wife’s body making round the internet were taken during Covid-19, some years ago when he was preventing her from tearing their marriage certificates and breaking their wedding photos.

According to GISTLOVER, Esther Oqua Asuquo, the deceased mother stated in an interview that her daughter Itunu Alionye, who was married MC Bonus, suffered domestic violence in her marriage.

Esther Oqua Asuquo said that the couple stated having issues after they got married. Concerned as a mother should be, she said she enquired from the couple and discovered it was over money troubles.

GISTLOVER reports that Esther Oqua Asuquo said she resolved the issue between the couple and the husband promised to pay what he owed his wife.

However, their marital crisis went beyond money issues to domestic violence.

She added that she received a call one morning in March from a member of Itunu’s father’s family, Alhaja Savage who told her to come to Mother and Child hospital in Festac that her daughter is in labour.Jamb Result

GISTLOVER reports that she noted that MC Bonus was nowhere to be found when her daughter had to be rushed to the hospital and it was a neighbour that took Itunu to the hospital.
